After the launch of its incubator in 2016, Dare.Win has created an international ‘creative in residence’ scheme at its Paris offices: Dare.Win Residency. This place of multicultural exchanges and creation with talents from around the world encourages inspiration and Dare.Win’s international development.
Back in 2016, Dare.Win began incubating Livebotter, a startup which develops messenger chatbots. A two-way arrangement, this also enabled the agency to propose such services to a number of its clients, including ARTE and SFR.
This year, the renowned Parisian entertainment agency is proud to present their latest scheme: ‘Dare.Win Residency’. The idea is very simple: to turn Dare.Win’s offices into a hub of international cultural exchange for creatives (be that freelancers, creatives, illustrators, or even directors…)
Dare.Win is, therefore, inviting talents of the world to come and stay for a period of 4 to 8 weeks or even all year in the French capital in order to boost further this creative environment.
The first ‘artist in residence’ to participate in the Dare.Win Residency scheme is the Australian planner Julian Cole, who has now been with Dare.Win for almost a week. Julian Cole, former Head of Communications Planning at BBDO NY and prior to that BBH New York, is also the founder of the Planning Dirty Newsletter.
Julian recently left New York to start a trip around the world. He has come to Paris to write his online strategic planning course for Planning Dirty from the comfort of Dare.Win’s open space!

ABOUT JULIAN COLE
Julian Cole was the Head of Comms Planning at the Campaign 2017 Network of the Year, BBDO New York until December 2017. In this role, he oversaw a team of 15 comms planners working across Footlocker, AT&T, Mars Chocolate and Petcare, Bacardi, Visa, J&J or American Red Cross. Previously he was Head of Comms Planning at BBH New York where he launched PlayStation 4 which became the fastest selling platform in video games history. The campaign was also awarded top advertising honours at Cannes Lions, winning 2 Gold, 2 Silver and a Bronze Lion. He has been fundamental in helping to establish the new discipline of Comms Planning, teaching over 2,000 students Comms Planning on Skillshare through his online courses.
